Day 26 of filming.
We had Chelsea and Alex come over for our last night of greenscreen. Her boyfriend Thomas came too so he ran BTS. We managed to bust out all the shots in just over an hour, so not too bad. After they left, Alex shaved and cut off some of his hair to make himself younger. Then we shot one of the “Transition Scenes” that takes us from Leap to Leap 2. Next time I see him, Alex should have all his hair cut off and look just like he did in the last movie and we’ll get the other Transition Scene and then do all of his ADR.
As far as the bad guy stuff, I’m hoping to do it early December. I’ll probably be renting a conference room from a local Super 8 motel. It’ll cost $50, but I’m hoping to swing a hotel room location out of it too. We’ll see.
I created a follow focus for the camera today by wrapping some white electrical tape around the lens. It works like a charm!
In the news of Derek, I heard an awesome testimony last Saturday at church that I want to incorporate into the flick. I came home to start adding to my notes, but when I went to dig up the folder on my laptop, the Derek folder has vanished. Just the Derek folder. All my other movies were still there: Wulf, Leap, Leap 2, Eden, The Flood, Sodom, and Ruby White-all there. In light of this, and my experiences on the first Leap, I’ve coined a new term-Digital Demons.
