Day 21 of filming.
I had a meeting this morning with one of our locally owned Russian stores. Basically, they said we could film there as long as I put the owner’s 17 year old son in the picture, even if it’s just a small role. I’ll make him the younger brother of the girl that runs the store where the Leap crew gets supplies. Since I’m currently without a car, I had a half hour bike ride to get to the store, but it paid off. The owners were really cool and even gave me a ride back to my place after. I love my Russian friends!
After I got back, I contacted Alex and we shot a few of his scenes, including his punching out a car window, and then spent the rest of the day getting background plates for the car chase. I’ve already cut all of today’s footage, so next I’m going to slap comp the car chase and see how it works. I’m stoked!
On the front of other movies, I’ve been busy doing research and fleshing out the stories for “Derek”, my movie that attacks modern spiritualism and reveals it for what it really is, and “Ruby White and the Cross of Christ”, which is is loosely based on the archaeological research of the late Ron Wyatt. My buddy Trex has also started writing his action/adventure movie so things are looking good for shooting three movies back to back a year from now.
