Day 10 of filming.
I know I didn’t write anything for Day Nine, but there really wasn’t that much to say. Today’s was pretty interesting though. We filmed in Coeur d’Alene (CDA), which is about 30 minutes from where I live in Spokane Valley. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get ahold of August, my script supervisor and ride. It was the first time I started to have second thoughts about buying the camera instead of a car. Alex came and picked up me and the gear. I gave him some gas money to help cover the cost.
We started filming at Alex’s house, using it as Luke’s apartment. We shot the scenes where Luke gets orders on what to do, and the scene where he discovers the bomb in his kitchen. It was kind of nice not shooting in my apartment for once. Alex took care of production design and I’m quite pleased with how the scenes turned out. Once we were done at the house, we headed to the CDA Resort, which is right on the lake. We shot the scene where Luke picks up his instructions from the “Wharf”, which was just an area under a bridge and dock. We also went on top of a parking garage where we shot the scene where Shane plants a transmitter to help triangulate the broadcasts. We also took some stills up there that I used for some promotional art.
After shooting, I hung out in CDA for a bit for a bit of pk with Alex and Ben.
