Well first off, happy New Year!
Okay, now that that’s out of the way, onto the good stuff.
I hadn’t gotten much done on the script over the past two weeks. I just can’t stand typing at my edit bay. I wrote my previous four scripts on a laptop where I could sit on my couch, the floor, go to a park, wherever. So, I’ve been looking all over on ebay and and finally craigslist for laptop. I actually found one! It’s an IBM ThinkPad, T23. 512 MB RAM, 30GB HDD, and a 1.3 Ghz Processor. It’s nothing fancy, but since this is just for writing and maybe some web browsing, I figured it was a good deal. Only cost 100 bucks too. It’s in wonderful shape, so it looks good too. My only complaint is that the CD/DVD drive won’t read my Linux Live CD that’s on a RW. So for the time being, I’m stuck with Windoze for screenwriting-but hopefully not for long. In any event, I’ve written around 8 pages today so far. I love being able to sit on my couch with a movie playing as I write.
So that’s my big update for the day. Mat’s in town and he’s coming over tomorrow so we can make sure we’re on the same page as far as the flick goes. It’ll probably be the only time we get to meet before production actually begins.
